'Boodoo' to believe voodoo economics

 

Give us a chance.  Things can't go very wrong.  If they do, you can always vote us out again.

Bollocks, who say things can't go very wrong in 5 years?  It was only 2 years ago that Venezuela went from a thriving Latin American economy to one where people queue up for bread crumbs and Venezuela followed exactly the kind of economic policies that the Pakatoons are advocating i.e. low taxes, heavy subsidies and very little or marginal individual responsibilities for the own economic well being.  When the State takes care of everything, it means, when the State goes bankrupt everybody, go bankrupt.

Penang DAP Government is proposing to build the most expensive highway in the world at RM385 million per KM

DAP Penang government has done it again.  The proposed PIL 1 (Pan Island Link 1) is a 19.5 km long dual three-lanes purpose build highway with 40 percent of it are tunnel passing through the island center hill range.  

The total cost as announced in the press statement by Penang Exco YB Chow Kon Yeow on 24th July is RM7.5 billion.  Effectively costing an average of RM385 million per km, which is by far the most expensive road project in Malaysia and almost ranked as the most expensive highway project in the world at par almost with the Oprescu Suspended Highway in Romania that cost Euro 100 million per km.

Gutter politic - Head oppositions win tail government lose

Only in Malaysia that the government gets attack whether they lose or make money. Nowhere else in any government in the world receives such an unreasonable treatment.

PKR Rafizi recently blamed the government for losing money in a public transport infrastructure project in the first few years of the project knowing full well that infrastructure project has a high upfront CAPEX investment and takes many years to amortize the investment before profit can be made.

Too many oppositions are jumping on the idiot bandwagon

One after another opposition is choosing to not look at the heart of the issue but rather rant on small bumps the surface of the skin.

Although the call for hiring only local tour guide is legitimate the approach is totally wrong. There are better avenues to address this small problem as many have pointed out before, but somehow, oppositions just can't see the bigger scheme of things.
